Did you also overestimate yourself when you first tried to cook? Most people start with pasta or mashed potatoes, but some are up for the challenge and dare to cook more difficult dishes right from the beginning. A classic: trying to combine two favorite foods. We want to tackle something similar today, with a crossover between spaghetti and baguettes – but thanks to our recipe, the result is guaranteed not to be a mess!

What you need

Four fresh baguettes
2 cups spaghetti with tomato sauce
4 cups mozzarella
Freshly grated parmesan

For the garlic butter:

8 tablespoons melted butter
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon oregano

And here’s how!

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees, then slice the baguettes lengthwise, cut an oval opening in the top and scoop out a little if necessary. Set the tops/“lids” of the baguettes aside.

For the garlic butter, add garlic powder, salt and oregano to the melted butter.

Place the baguettes on a baking sheet and brush the insides with the garlic butter mixture.

Place half of the mozzarella cheese on the insides of the “baguette boats” and the tops.

Bake for 5-7 minutes, until cheese begins to melt and edges are crisp.

Divide the warm pasta with the sauce evenly among the baguettes, filling them to the brim.

Top with the remaining mozzarella and bake for 5-7 minutes.
