In retrospect, however, there was so much more that made the pre-Christmas season festive and wonderful. Baking cookies was one of them. Not only because we got to taste the dough &#8211; but also because we got to spend this time exclusively with mom, completely without any stress.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to bake classic cookies with your own kids to let them have the same great experience, here&#8217;s the perfect recipe for you!<\/p>\n<h2> What you need <\/h2>\n<p>1 lb flour<br \/>\n12 oz butter<br \/>\n1 pck. vanilla sugar<br \/>\n7 oz sugar<br \/>\n2 egg yolks<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\nA little grated lemon peel<br \/>\nA pinch of salt<br \/>\nEgg yolk to brush the cookies<\/p>\n<h2> And here&#8217;s how! <\/h2>\n<p>Put the flour in the bowl, sprinkle with sugar and the vanilla sugar. <\/p>\n<p>Form a hollow in the middle of the flour mixture and add the butter cut into flakes.<\/p>\n<p>Now add the egg yolks and the egg. <\/p>\n<p>Refine with grated lemon zest and a little salt, then knead the dough well and chill for at least an hour. <\/p>\n<p>Cut the dough into shapes as desired and then brush with egg yolk.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 175 \u00b0C for about 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do our butter cookies taste like they did back at mom&#8217;s house?
