Fluffy And Crispy: Potato Fritters Just Like Grandma Made Them!

There are some dishes that somehow only tasted really good when they were served at grandma’s table. One example of this is potato fritters – for us kids, they were something like the unloved half-brothers of pancakes, our favorite food from the frying pan. But at grandma’s house we always enjoyed them! What kind of kitchen magic could have been involved? With our recipe you should at least come close… This is how to make potato fritters like grandma!

What you need

25 oz potatoes, firm boiled
2 onions, finely chopped
2 eggs
5 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
pepper, to taste
Frying fat
Serve sweet: Applesauce, cinnamon & sugar.
Serve salty: Salmon and herb curd
Deco: greens (dill, parsley, etc.)

And here’s how!

Peel and halve the potatoes and onions. Add to mixing bowl and chop on high speed for 5 sec.

Push the mixture down with a spatula.

Add flour, eggs, salt and pepper and mix for about 30 sec.

Heat oil in a pan and bake the pancakes until golden brown.

Depending on your taste, you can serve them with applesauce, salmon or salad… There are no limits to your imagination!
