Fluffy And Delicious! This Is How You Make The Perfect Burger Buns!

Who of you can still remember children’s birthday parties at McDonald’s? With a Happy Meal and Coke as much as you can drink? After all, everyone loves burgers
– and they have become a real culinary trend in recent years. Nowadays, however, people no longer eat soggy Big Macs, but prepare their own organic burgers. But mostly, this refers only to the patty, but not to the buns.

But it’s worth it to bake them yourself – with our recipe, it’s easy!

What you need

1/2 oz fresh yeast
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
3 oz butter
1 lb flour
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 egg (to brush before baking)
Sesame seeds (for sprinkling)

And here’s how!

In a bowl, mix the flour and salt, then stir in the yeast and knead for 2 – 3 minutes until a smooth dough.

Gradually add the softened butter and knead thoroughly into the dough for 3 – 4 minutes.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and let the dough rise at room temperature for about 60 minutes.

Lightly flour the dough, transfer it to a clean work surface, and divide it into 8 equal pieces.

Shape each piece of dough into a ball with your hands and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Crack and whisk the egg, then brush each roll lightly with it.

Cover with plastic wrap and let the rolls rise at room temperature for 50 minutes; meanwhile, preheat the oven to 190 degrees.

Remove the plastic wrap and brush the buns a second time with egg, then sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake the burger buns for about 20 minutes at 190 degrees until golden brown.
