Juicy Onion Tart: As Delicious As Grandma’s!

Back in childhood, what was your favorite grandma’s meal? For many, this has probably been the elaborate “feasts” such as roast pork with potatoes and salad. Rather less often would certainly be called our current classic: Onion tart! However, if you know it, your mouth will surely water just reading about it… Fortunately, he is not at all difficult to prepare and succeeds with our following recipe guaranteed.

Here’s what you’ll need

For the dough:

2 cups all-purpose flour
3.5 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup lukewarm milk
1 teaspoon yeast
¼ teaspoon salt

For the filling:

2 1/2 large onions
3.5 tablespoons butter
1 1/4 cups sour cream
1 tablespoon flour
3 eggs
2.5 ounces diced bacon
salt and pepper to taste

Here’s how!

Sift the flour, then add the rest of the ingredients for the dough, mix well and knead.

Fry the bacon, melt the butter in a water bath.

Dice the onions, add the cream and butter.

Gradually add the flour; break the eggs over the bowl and mix everything well, add salt and pepper.

Roll out the dough and put it in a round cake pan so that the edge is also covered.

Pour in the filling and sprinkle the chopped bacon on top.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 40 minutes.
