These Cheeseburgers Really Aren’t What You Think They Are!

If you grew up in the 80s or 90s, you have learned to love convenience food. Back then our parents had no problem leaving us alone at home after school at lunchtime with the instruction to simply pop any ready-made meal into the microwave. With that in mind, the ongoing burger hype comes in handy these days. If, despite all your craze for the greasy calorie bombs, you’d still like to mix things up a bit, here’s a recipe idea for you….

What you need

1/2 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 package of ready-made dough
2 slices of processed cheese

And here’s how

.

In a skillet, cook beef, onion, salt and pepper over medium heat until medium, then set aside.

Roll out two dough balls into an oval and place, overlapping, on a floured surface.

Place meat mixture on one dough oval, top with cheese slices.

Fold the second piece of dough over the filling; press the edges together with a fork.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Prick the dumpling with a fork and bake for 10 minutes.
