You’ve Never Had Such A Juicy Chocolate Cake!

If there was one thing that beat rainbow-colored cakes and pies in our childhood, it was chocolate cake – dark brown and free of anything that could have distracted from the chocolate flavor (this was especially true of fruit). And who, after all, doesn’t still feel like melting at the first forkful of chocolate cake?

However, there are pitfalls: the cake must not be too dry, the chocolate not bitter. If you’re still looking for the perfect chocolate cake recipe, you might find it in our twist!

What you need

1 recipe pie crust
2 oz unsweetened baking chocolate
2 oz semi-sweet baking chocolate
3/4 cup butter
1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all purpose flour

Here’s how

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Prepare the pie crust according to package instructions and place in a cake pan.

Place the baking chocolate and butter in a bowl and heat in the microwave for about 2 minutes; stir every 30 seconds.

Stir the sugar into the chocolate mixture, then beat in the eggs until smooth, then add the vanilla, cocoa and salt.

Carefully stir in the flour, then spread the batter over the pie crust.

Bake for 38-48 minutes, until the top is cracked but the pie is still moist inside.
