You Really Must Try This Fried Rice With Egg And Vegetables!
03.02.2023 12:15 UhrWhen you think of fried rice, do you think of instant food that was served in childhood when mum and dad didn’t have time to cook? Or of too many flavour enhancers and soft-cooked vegetables in styrofoam boxes? Then we have a recipe for you that will prove you wrong: fried rice with vegetables, fresh, crunchy, delicious!
What you need
3 tablespoons butter
2 eggs
2 carrots
1 onion
1/2 cup peas
3 cloves of garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
4 cups rice
3 onions
3-4 tablespoons soy sauce (to taste)
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
And here’s how!
Heat 1/2 tablespoon of butter, crack an egg and fry, then set aside on a plate.
Add another tablespoon of butter to the pan, add the carrots, onion, peas and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes until the onions and carrots are soft.
Increase the heat, add the remaining 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter and then immediately add the rice, spring onions and soy sauce and stir until everything is well mixed.
Sauté the rice for a further 3 minutes, then add the eggs and stir.
Remove from the heat and stir in the sesame oil until everything is well mixed.
Taste and season with additional soy sauce if needed.
